As
we welcome spring and the new growth of the season, we need to take a
moment and remember our friends and those that are special to us. This
newsletter is dedicated to someone who has been that special friend,
always with a smile and helping hand for anyone who needed it and in
many ways the heart and soul of our VFW. To LANA and from all
those whose life she impacted, I ask that we all take a moment and enjoy
those special memories of our beautiful special friend. All our love
and thoughts are with you Lana.
From your Club Manager, David Grantham…
Our April newsletter was dedicated to Lana Stephensen,
our special friend, loyal employee and Auxiliary President. Sadly she
passed away on March 29th. Lana will be missed and our prayers go out to
her family.
On May 17, your VFW Post will host a Memorial Benefit to
assist the family with funeral and medical costs incurred during her
illness and subsequent death.
Lana devoted herself to your VFW during the last several years. She
was always giving of her time and self and doing her best to take care
of others and to make the VFW a better place. Therefore I ask you to
open your hearts and make a donation, whether it is monetary or items
for the Silent or Live Auctions and please come join us May 17th and
take a moment to enjoy those special memories of our beautiful special
friend, Lana. We miss her.

Welcome back to the snow bunnies! Those that I have
spoken with are less than thrilled to be back in time to enjoy a taste
of winter yet.
Be sure to check your calendars for the coming events
and plan to take part in them.
